The side panels of the bag are worked in double crochet, for added sturdiness. Once the body of the bag is complete, a strap made of single crochet is created.

Corrina notes that not only can this be used as a market bag, but this project would also make a great beach bag. It’s easy to make the bag a little bit bigger and deeper by working additional rows in the body portion of the project.
