Making a removable pom-pom for a crocheted hat is easier than you think! In this video, Mary Beth Temple teaches us how to cut and hand sew our own pom-pom using faux fur. You don’t have to be an expert sewist to do this, you just have to make things sturdy. The fluff of the fur will mask any messy sewing! As Mary Beth is making the pom-pom, she adds an elastic loop to the bottom of the pom-pom. This loop makes it easy to attach it to a hat, and still allows the pom-pom to be removable. Mary Beth finishes by teaching us how to sew a button to the hat, and demonstrates how to attach the pom-pom to the button.
